MARTIAL arts stars from the British and Chinese Kickboxing Association began their Peterborough Series title defence with an impressive showing in the first event.
The BCKA, who train in Wisbech, March, Chatteris and Whittlesey, were named grand champions after dominating last year’s contest.
And they made a strong start in this campaign, with Fenland fighters bringing back a large haul of silverware from Werrington Sports Centre.
Jazmyn Evans, Charlotte Cameron, Freya Molloy, Scott Wesley and Wayne Whitehead led the way by triumphing in their categories.
Coach Andy Whitwell said: “We had a great day and I’m very proud of all of our fighters who, as usual, put in 100 per cent effort.”
