BOSS Paul Crosbie vented his frustration at the officials after a controversial late equaliser denied March Town United victory on Saturday.
March Town vs Braintree Town Reserves in action. Picture Steve Williams.The Hares were minutes away from consecutive league victories after Lewis Thompson’s first-half penalty appeared to have secured all three points against Braintree Town Reserves at the GER.
The visitors levelled in the closing stages - but Crosbie insisted their goal came through a foul on March keeper Marc Hipwell.
He said: “We were seeing the game out and then our keeper was bundled into the net after taking the ball!
“We then should have had a penalty when Stuart Anderson was rugby tackled in the area.
“It’s a missed opportunity but we were not at our best.”
The Hares, who sit sixth in the Thurlow Nunn First Division, host league leaders Cambridge University Press tomorrow.
The table-toppers lost for the first time this season at Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday.
