March Town United’s Thurlow Nunn First Division fixture with Brightlingsea Regent postponed

MARCH Town United’s match with Brightlingsea Regent on Saturday has already been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

A tweet published by the Hares today said: “Saturday’s @ThurlowNunnFL game home to @Brightlingseafc has been postponed. GER resembles Antarctica at present with no prospect of warmth.”

Temperatures are struggling to rise above freezing today in Fenland - at 9am today the temperature in March was -8C and in Wisbech was -7C.

Conditions are expected to get worse in the next 24 hours, with snow forecast across much of the country.
