OPENING bowler Tyler Phillips toasted a memorable season with the ball by picking up two awards at March Town Cricket Club’s presentation night.
The talented seamer, who took 31 Tucker Gardner Premier Division wickets at an average of 12.03, won the Saturday 1st XI player of the year and the young player of the year awards.
More than 70 members attended the awards dinner, with trophies presented by chairman Mike Wallis and Cambridgeshire County Cricket Club manager Keith Coburn.
Seamer Callum Young won Sunday 1st XI player of the year, Sam Mason took Sunday 2nd XI player of the year and Ben Pyle was named as the most improved player.
Toby Nulty was the Saturday 2nd XI player of the year, while Stuart Fox and Glen Hulley won the third and fourth team player of the year awards.
Norman Alterton was named clubman of the year and Fran Plitsch claimed the girls player of the year award. Girls players’ player was Emily King and most improved went to Emily Hill.
