March GER bowlers have enjoyed success in a major triples tournament.

The trio of Jayne Thorpe, Rob Bonello and Gwen Siggee triumphed in the event at the Potters Resort in Hopton on Sea, Norfolk recently.

They beat opponents from Yorkshire 14-3 in the final to complete a memorable success after overcoming March clubmates in the last four.

Thorpe, Bonello and Siggee were 10-7 winners in their semi-final against GER husband-and-wife, Janet and John Goff, who teamed up with another local player, John Beamish.

The tournament attracted 42 teams from around the country, while Thorpe and Bonello also performed superbly to reach the semi-finals of a 64-team pairs competition.
