MIXED martial arts stars from Wisbech’s Avaddon Academy face the camera after powering to 13 medals at an inter-club tournament.

The event saw the club host more than 100 competitors from gyms in Cambridge, Norwich, Peterborough and King’s Lynn at their new academy in Boleness Road.

Wisbech’s stars excelled across the five weight categories and an all-female tournament, claiming three gold medals, four silvers and six bronzes.

The club, run by Chris Ellington and Stuart McLean, provides mixed martial arts coaching for juniors, beginners and advanced fighters. They plan to hold another inter-club contest on November 18.
