On February 3, 1959, Buddy Holly was killed in a plane crash. That day would eventually become known as The Day the Music Died.

To commemorate the 55th anniversary of his death, a show packed with a selection of his greatest hits comes to King’s Lynn Corn Exchange.

The Day the Music Died is a show which covers songs such as Blue Days, Black Nights, Rock Around with Ollie Vee, True Love Ways and It Doesn’t Matter Anymore.

A Corn Exchange spokesman said: “This show proves that the music did not indeed die but lives on and is as vibrant and relevant as ever.

“Join us on Saturday, September 27, to remember and celebrate the music of Buddy Holly.”

• The Day the Music Died begins at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £18.50 and can be purchased from the Corn Exchange Box Office on 01553 764864.
