FLORAL displays crafted with flair and imagination will fill Peckover House in Wisbech this weekend.
This year’s flower festival opens on Saturday September 15 and carries the theme of Visions.
Led by John Richmond and Lesley Beeton, a talented team created floral displays that reflect the work of the National Trust, in particular, the life of Octavia Hill, the Wisbech-born co-founder of the trust who died 100 years ago.
Held at Peckover House every two years, the flower festival is a hugely popular event drawing visitors from near and far. It is well known for the innovation of floral creations that seem magically transformed to represent whatever the artists wish.
Flowers will reflect landscapes, houses and coastlines, flowing from room to room and house to garden, leading the eye almost with a will of their own.
The festival runs until Wednesday September 19. Peckover House is open daily from 11am-5pm (last admission to the house 4.30pm).
Admission is free to National Trust members with normal admission cost for non-members.
