The Luci and Steph Christmas Spectacular at March Town Hall was a brilliant show

Christmas shows have run all over the month of December but The Luci and Steph Christmas Spectacular was something else.
The show ran from December 20-22 in March Town Hall and was compered by Tick Few.
The show was packed with ballet, dancing, two saxophone solos by Becky Sutcliffe (which were nothing short of brilliant and she is only 16 years old) and guitar solos by Tom Harlock who demonstrated his skills by playing two pieces. All were well received by the audience.
Tick gave his normal compere and comedy pieces to entertain the guests and kept the whole performance flowing.
But the stars of the show were Luci and Steph (Lucy Collins and Stephanie Slingsby) who gave four individual songs each and another six together, plus an encore of two popular Christmas songs.
Both girls have very strong and full voices but when they sang together the harmony and melody they created was both a pleasure and entertaining to behold.
These girls are currently working in the prestigious Urdang Academy of Performing Arts, London, and found the time to plan the show prior to their Christmas break.
Our great town of March has some very gifted performers and I was honoured to be able to see them perform but also to thank them personally for a great night which I thoroughly enjoyed. But most importantly the 180 people who attended the Town Hall concert over the three days did too.
These girls came from March and District Amateur Operatic Society and want to end up as performers in the West End and with a talent like theirs they deserve it.
Let’s support our local talent and help nurture them to the great performers of the future and keep this town of March firmly and securely showing on the map as a place we are proud of.
