EIGHT members of the Rotary Club of March met in City Road Car Park on Saturday, January 8 for the first meeting of 2011.

The members met for the monthly newspaper collection.

Members have been holding the monthly collection for several years. The papers are bundled up and sect away to be recycle as equine bedding. This in turn becomes compost.

An estimated two metric tonnes have been donated by the public who drop of papers at the collecting point. Some arrive by bicycle with a bag load or a car load. The income generated is used by the Rotary Club for a variety of local projects.
