MAY I put an appeal out through your letters column please?
Is there any chance that the various bodies concerned with roads and flooding etc could get together and put in a place 0800 or 0845 number that we can ring to check if A1101 is passable or not?
For 15 odd years I’ve had to take pot luck, like everyone else because no-one in authority has had the wit to set up a system whereby potential users can check on the day of travel if the road is open or not. It’s not too much to ask in the 21st Century is it?
