An early morning raid on a village club netted raiders £1,000 in cash and £800 worth of alcohol.
Police said they were called at 7.18am yesterday (September 10) with reports of a burglary in East Street, Manea.
A police spokesman said that between 3.15am and 6.50am unknown offenders gained entry to the Royal British Legion Club, removing alcohol worth an estimated £800 and more than £1000 in cash.
“Scenes of crime officers have attended the premises and an investigation is ongoing,” he said. “No arrests have yet been made.”
