Independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers is today offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information on the murder of Rikki Neave over 20 years after his body was found in Peterborough.

The reward and renewed appeal for information on six-year-old Rikki’s murder will feature on BBC’s Crimewatch tonight in the hope that someone will come forward with vital information.

Rikki’s body was discovered in woodlands near his home on Welland Estate on November 29 1994. He was found naked and had been strangled.

The clothes he had been wearing, which included grey school trousers, a jacket and a white shirt, were later found in a dustbin yards from the woodland.

Crimestoppers is now offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Rikki’s murder.

Antonia Litten, Eastern Regional Manager for Crimestoppers, said: “I can’t even begin to imagine what this innocent little boy has gone through during this cruelest and most disgusting of acts.

“I’d ask anyone with information on Rikki’s murder to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 to bring some peace to his family and bring to justice those responsible for this callous murder.”
