March Amateur Dramatic and District Sociey are celebrating after a “very successful” 1940s evening.
Francis Pepper, of MADAOS, said: “It was successful both financially and in terms of audience enjoyment.
“We sold out of tickets and the capacity audience enjoyed a lively concert of songs, both British and American, from wartime and after.”
MADAOS honoured Alan Hocking, the pilot officer who gave his life by staying at the controls of his burning plane and crashing it away from March town, by singing an Australian song which was popular in the 1940s.
