About 700 people turned out to enjoy races and gala games a village’s annual fun day.
Wimblington Fun Day was themed as a 1940s ‘Holiday at Home Day’ and was opened by Mick Knight and Liz Wright, dressed as Shrek and Princess Fiona, with Daisy the Donkey. They also judged the ‘decorate your wheels’ contest.
Thomas Eaton Primary School’s choir performed, before crowds enjoyed shows by Uncle Mick’s Punch & Judy, JezO’s Magic, Ivan Garford’s Dead Swingers and The Rug Cutters lindy dance group.
There were also a number of children’s and adults’ races, which were fiercely contested.
About £1,200 was raised, which will go towards next year’s fun day.
