QUALITY design and construction in Fenland will come to the fore in the fifth Building Design Awards which were launched today at our business breakfast in Wisbech.
The awards, run by Fenland District Council in conjunction with the Cambs Times/Wisbech Standard, will be held at the Boathouse Business Centre in Wisbech on July 11.
Announcing the launch of this year’s competition Councillor Alan Melton, leader of Fenland District Council, said: “The event is to raise the awareness of good design and construction within Fenland and demonstrate the wide variety of high quality design and build in Fenland.
“As from today we therefore welcome submission of entries. Details can be obtained from our Building Control Team or the Cambs Times/Wisbech Standard.”
Overall winner of last year’s competition was Cirrus, at White Fen Farm in Benwick. Judges said the house was skilfully designed to provide and exceptional home with panoramic views of the Fenland landscape.
