POLICE in March are offering free cycle coding following a spate of thefts in the town.
There have been a number of bikes stolen from the town and police are urging people to review their security.
Sgt Alan Boughen said: "I would urge people to ensure their bikes are locked and secure at all times, even when they are left in a shed or garage.
"Over the next few weeks we will be holding a number of postcoding events to enable people to get their bikes security marked. Such security marks can act as a deterrent to certain thieves."
Cycle coding events will take place this Sunday and next Sunday (11am-1pm) at March Police Station, and on Saturday, May 19 (10am-2pm) at Sainsbury's car park.
