TO celebrate the anniversary of 21 years since the first trees were planted in Dunhams Wood at March, we decided to do something really new.
We felt that we would like to mark this within the community so are holding a competition, open to individuals of any age, both children and adults, and to groups. We have "discovered" little folk living in our Wood, the Eenie Gleish. The first chapter of their book is written and we are asking people to write other chapters of their adventures, to draw pictures of what you think they look like, and to make them houses.
The competition runs until the end of June and the published book and houses will be on show at the wood during all of the summer openings. Entry forms, with all details, are available from us, from Fenland Arts at March Town Hall, or from 'Art of Colour' in Broad Street, March. The competition is free to enter and all prize winners will be invited to a special open day at the wood in September.
