FURTHER to Mr Barnes' letter about Manea drop-in centre, at no time did I suggest that the centre was anything but superb. I merely found it untrue that Manea was full of "sour looking people". Indeed I have only found the reverse.

To put the record straight, the £600 raised for the centre was in fact donated by Clive Haylock and Paul Davies (£300). They walked 26 miles to raise this amount. A further £300 was raised by the performers of a Minor Miracle (Garry Chubbock and Kevin Bridgement held a sponsored silence).
