Festival ovation

WELL folks, the people of March have once again pulled together to help make our March Summer Festival a successful weekend.

Starting with Friday Youth Music. Then Saturday Lions Boot Sale, the Carnival Parade which, despite the difficulties and problems thrown at us, still took place. But still successful and a very import ant part of the Festival weekend. Thank you Wendy for all the hard work you must have put in to make this possible.

The Lions Gala is getting larger every year and we hope all the charities that had a stall made a lot of money. The afternoon stage events drew a huge crowd followed in the evening by Pop in The Park. Sunday's entertainment was enjoyed by a very happy crowd, all consuming their picnics, with lots more music and special activities with the clown etc for the children, culminating in the evening with the Alan Norris Big Band. What a fantastic end to a wonderful weekend of sun, fun and music.

The small but dedicated committee, their families and friends, all of the volunteers who have worked so hard over the weekend from stewarding, toilet cleaning to litter picking, all to help make your weekend a safe and clean one deserve a standing ovation.

The March Summer Festival was made possible with funding from March Town Council, Fenland Arts Association, Fenland District Council, special thanks to their cleansing department.
