FENLAND Farm Machinery Club held its first meeting in the year at the Conservative Club. Chairman Gerald Judd welcomed members and reported that founder member Jack Cox had died. Members stood for a moment's silence in his memory.
Guest speaker Fred Stimpson, of FJS Services from Manea, and his son Dale gave a presentation on Briggs Irrigation.
Mr Stimson showed a short film and talked about different size pumps, booms and raingun, also different size nozzles to allow the soil to absorb the water with less evaporation. The chairman gave the vote of thanks.
