A Chatteris councillor joined 300 fellow epilepsy sufferers in a run around the countryside at Wymondham, Norfolk, to raise cash for Epilepsy Action.
Fifty-three-year old Councillor Diane Baldry had only been running for 10 weeks, received a medal after completing the 6.2-mile undulating course in 70 minutes.
So far, people have pledged £280. Cllr Baldry has agreed to match whatever she raises and said that if any readers wish to make donations they would be gratefully received.
