A FENLAND village could be set to twin with two European communities after receiving two offers from towns in Poland and Italy.
Wimblington's twinning committee has received the offers from Marazzone, in the Lombardy region of Italy, and Wierzbie, a village to the west of the Polish city of Kutno.
The committee has also not given up hope of twinning with a community from Holland, with no town at present coming forward.
Twinning committee member Susie Spurr said: "Our intentions are to continue twinning with both places and, on March 17, hold a two hour open event - 4pm to 6pm - giving presentations, tea, coffee and nibbles, much as we did before for Holland."
The committee has also asked for anyone with any knowledge of Wierzbie or Marazzone to contact Mrs Spurr on 01354 741156.
