YOUR headline of February 2, illustrating the River Nene as the Blue Lagoon, made me chuckle. As did what I think was a sketch of a windsurfer on the crystal waters of the Nene below the Police Station. We shall see...

However, your headline of last week made me see red. A £200,000 black hole in the accounts of the Queen's School is just not acceptable. The former head and head of the governors should be made to explain.

Excuse me, but Cambridgeshire County Council may be expected to pick up the deficit. But, let us not forget, that money is not the county council's. If it were not for the taxpayer, it would not have any money. Why should we pay our Council Tax money to have it close black holes?

It is bad enough getting road holes filled in this county. Never mind black ones.

I have no doubt the previous head will not have missed out pension wise. This must not be swept under the carpet.
