Spike, Cambridgeshire County Council's road safety hedgehog, visited Beaupré Primary School, Outwell, to unveil new cycle and pedestrian shelters after the old structure had become inadequate for protecting modern cycles.

Rosemary Mullen, the county council's Safer Routes to School project officer, said: "Young people and their needs should be at the heart of any school travel project, and I am impressed with the hard work that Beaupré pupils have put into their school's Safer Routes to School Project, resulting in these attractive new shelters.
