A FENLAND window cleaner is embarking on a new business venture, thanks to backing from the Daily Mirror and Sir Alan Sugar.Paul Gill, 34, featured in the paper's Biz Bureau section after he submitted a business idea.In November, Mr Gill, of West Street, Chatteris, wrote to Sir Alan, successful businessman and star of TV show The Apprentice, who encouraged Mirror readers to submit new business ideas to him in his weekly feature A Spoonful of Sugar.Sir Alan was impressed with Mr Gill's proposed computer cleaning service and, in January, the paper confirmed it would like to feature Mr Gill in their business section.Mr Gill said: "It was a real surprise. I had the idea while talking to my aunt in London last summer but I didn't do anything with it."Eventually, a friend told me to write in to Sir Alan Sugar and see what he thought of the idea."I never thought I would get a response and I had forgotten about it when I received a reply from the Daily Mirror in January."Encouraged by this, he has established his business, PC Purity, and created a website, www.pcpurity.co.uk that he hopes will attract new business."Things are moving very quickly and it is quite scary but it is also exciting," he said."I have no intention of giving up my window cleaning work and I think that the commercial computer cleaning business will complement it quite well."The former boxer, who now trains young fighters at Chatteris Boxing Club, is not getting carried away with his success. He added: "I am not looking to become a multi-millionaire or anything. "I just want to make some extra money that will help me to continue training at the boxing club.
