Students at Neale-Wade Academy with 100 per cent attendance were invited to a special assembly – reflecting on their achievements throughout the school year.
The students were reminded to thank their parents for their important role in attending the academy everyday since September – a quarter of all students achieved 100 per cent attendance and over half achieved 97 this term.
James Whitney, vice principal, said: “Excellent attendance is important for attainment but also as a mark of character, resilience, consistency and attitude to learning.”
In a blog, Jason Wing, principle, wrote of the school’s successful year: “Neale-Wade continues to be a good school and is striving to be outstanding.
“Lesson observations highlight the strength of teaching within lessons and the highly supportive pastoral care that takes place on a daily basis.
“Our careers advice continues to be a real strength and the Neale-Wade approach will be mirrored across Fenland and East Cambridgeshire through our on-going work with DfE and the Opportunity Area working party.”
