Instead of being tucked away in a cupboard and forgotten about, Neale-Wade Academy has thought of a better use for sports equipment pupils no longer use ... it will be donated to charity.
The school will pass on badminton rackets, nets, basketballs and soft balls to armed forces charity Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
The charity, founded by Walpole St Andrew war widow Nikki Scott, supports the children of bereaved soldiers who died while fighting for the British Army.
The sports equipment will be collected from the academy by Simon Whittaker and Clairice Pepper, representatives from Scotty’s Little Soldiers.
