A coffee morning at March Conservative Club raised an impressive £1,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Visitors sampled cakes and goodies and there were book, bric-a-brac and tombola stalls to browse.
The event received a major boost from the Open Chest in Broad Street, who donated £1,000 to the cause.
Doreen Mills, of March Conservative Club, said: “The organisers would lie to thank all the helpers, too numerous to name, the many visitors and to the Open Chest for making the event such a success.”
