A Neale-Wade Academy pupil got the chance to quiz MP Steve Barclay on several important issues.
During the interview Chloe Spencer, 16, asked Mr Barclay how he got into politics, whether politics should be a compulsory subject at secondary school and should the voting age be dropped to 16 after the Scottish referendum.
Chloe is the editor of the school’s newspaper and blogs for The Guardian - her debut article for the Guardian on what’s the point of school uniform sparked a lively debate.
Mr Barclay said: “It is clear from Chloe’s successful blogs for the Guardian and her professional interview style that she can go on to achieve great success.
“It is very positive to see such a strong commitment to journalism and I look forward to reading her articles in the future.”
