THE Friends of St Mary’s Church, Whittlesey will be holding their 15th Christmas Tree Festival on December 14-16.

A forest of decorated trees will be created and all proceeds from the day will go towards maintaining the medieval church, with arrangements being made to re-decorate its interior.

There will be a St Mary’s Choir led carol concert and mulled wine and minced pies will be available.

Adult’s entry costs �2 but under 16’s get in for free.

The festival is open from 10-8pm on Friday and from 10-5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

WHITTLESEY and District Business Forum are putting on a christmas extravaganza on the Market Square on December 14 from 5.30-8pm.

There will be a children’s funfair and rides, charity stalls and a visit from Santa is promised.

New Road Molly, Wype Doles and Saddletramp line dancers will perform and the Junior Salvation Army band and Cambridgeshire Caledonian band will accompany St Mary’s Choir in a carol concert.

Shops will stay open late to give visitors an extra chance to do their Christmas shopping.
