PUPILS raised more than 1,500 for their school with a sponsored walk.
Children at Alderman Jacobs Primary School, Whittlesey, enjoyed the sun whilst completing the walk around the school field and nearby streets. They were sponsored for taking part.
A total of 1,562.09 was raised and will be used to for activities which enhance the curriculum, such as theme days and playtime games.
Pupils in Years 2, 3 and 6 also enjoyed a visit to the cinema as part of National Film Week, watching A Turle’s Tale: Sammy’s Adventure. Teachers selected this film as it provided a strong starting point for more than one area of the curriculum.
Meanwhile, Year 4 and 5 pupils took to the stage to perform I Never Touched Him!, a powerful dramatisation aimed at getting pupils to think about the impact cyber bullying has on the victims.
Year 5 pupils also enjoyed a visit to the National Space Centre before half-term.
