A FENLAND day nursery raised 500 for Marie Curie Cancer Care by holding a ‘blooming great tea party’ and open day.
Youngsters flocked to Alphabet Day Nursery in Station Road, Whittlesey, to enjoy face painting, craft making, playing outside and on the bouncy castle. Many - including the adults - tucked into homemade cakes and polished them off with cups of tea.
Tina Boon, the nursery’s owner, said: “Due to the tea party being such a success we’d now like to make it an annual event.
“I would like to say a big thank you to all the businesses and parents who donated raffle prizes and cakes. There are too many to name personally but I’d like to say a huge thank you to each and everyone one of you.
“Here’s hoping next year’s event will be just as blooming great!”
