CHILDREN and staff donned masks and head-dresses as Mardi Gras came to a Fenland primary school last week.
The youngsters brightened up the classrooms of Coates Primary School with their colourful clothes, finishing for the Easter break in style. Prizes were also awarded for the best costumes.
Head Joanne Tomlins said: “We have very strong international links at the school and regularly celebrate different cultures and events.
“The children have brought in their wonderful homemade Mardi Gras masks and have brightened up the school no end.”
