THREE storey Grove House, Chatteris, may once again become a historic home following its disposal by the College of West Anglia.
The 325,000 early 19th century building, no longer needed by the college, is now the subject of a change of use bid to Fenland planners.
The college says it will sell the property once planning permission is secured and it would be up to the new owner to apply for listed buildings consent for any alterations needed.
Grove House was built originally as a single home but for many years has been used for commercial purposes- firstly as offices and then by the college.
The building was last used in June 2007 and has been marketed for commercial uses since then but with little interest.
