A MAN has been charged in connection with an incident which involved a collision between a train and railway crossing barriers in Whittlesey earlier this year.
A red Mercedes Kompressor coupe was reported stolen from outside a property in Grounds Avenue, March, in June.
The vehicle later crashed through the safety barriers of a railway crossing at Kings Delph on Sunday June 20. A train then collided with the remains of the barrier.
Terrance Fowler, 20, of Peyton Avenue, March, has been charged with dangerous driving, driving with no insurance, aggravated vehicle taking, criminal damage and causing a railway to be obstructed.
He will appear at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on October 26.
