Remembrance events in March have been shared by the Royal British Legion.

Alongside the poppy appeal, the town will once again play host to the annual Remembrance Parade on Sunday, November 13.

The parade will muster from 9.00am at Mill View car park before marching away at 9.30am towards the St Peter’s Church, passing the war memorial as they go.

Arriving at the church at 9.40am, the parade will enter the church for a service at 9.50am.

The congregation will leave at 10.40am, arriving at the town war memorial in time to say a prayer, play the Last Post, read the Exhortation which precedes a two-minute silence and wreath laying.

After this, the final blessing will be read and for the first time in over 70 years the national anthem will play God Save the King.

Those who’ve taken part in the parade are invited to the Rookswood Club to celebrate the event which will no doubt be another success.
