Aria Court Care Home in March has welcomed a new manager.

Abhilash Gopi has a proven track record in care home management and brings a wealth of experience from the care sector, having worked his way up from a registered nurse.

He prides himself on being organised, and believes the secret to his success is getting ahead each day so he can tackle any challenges that come his way.

“I’m very proud of the fact that I have led outstanding homes in the past, that has been a career highlight for me,” said Abhilash.

“I am now looking forward to working with the team here at Aria Court to ensure we are achieving outstanding levels of care and hospitality.”

He added: “To be a good leader, I believe it’s important to be a great listener – for residents, relatives and colleagues.

“It’s also important to be a good mentor for your team because they’re crucial in delivering excellent care to our residents.”

Aria Court, run by Athena Care Homes, is a 92-bedroom care home offering residential, nursing and dementia care.

Group operations director, Katherine Foley, said: “I am delighted to welcome Abhilash to the Athena team.

“He is already making a difference at Aria Court, and we are seeing positive changes.”
