A driver who drove through red traffic lights at speeds of up to 75mph whilst fleeing police in Cambridge has been sentenced.
Nahim Hussain, 25, also drove around a roundabout the wrong way during the pursuit before losing control of his white Mercedes and crashing into a tree on Kings Hedges in Cambridge.
The Cambridgeshire Road Policing Unit had attempted to stop him before he fled police on August 12 of last year.

Unlicensed & uninsured the driver of this vehicle tried to flee. Following a short pursuit he quickly realised he didn’t have the driving talent he believed he did and was soon arrested (uninjured) for a number of offences including dangerous & drug driving.

Hussain, of Caithness Court, Cambridge, has now been sentenced on April 19 at Huntingdon Law Court after pleading guilty to multiple charges.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "Hussain was sentenced to 66 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months after pleading guilty to dangerous driving, possession of an identity document with improper intention and possession of cannabis."

The Road Policing Unit added that Hussain's sentence includes 200 hours of unpaid work, 15 days of rehabilitative activity and various fines.
