The head of sixth form at Whittlesey’s Sir Harry Smith Community College says the school is “incredibly proud” of the students.

The students collected their A-Level and BTEC exam results today (August 17).

Two gained places at the University of Cambridge and were among the 78 per cent of students who gained their firm choice, or insurance places, at university.

Tim Smith, the Head of Sixth Form, said: “We are incredibly proud of all our students’ achievements across the college.

“Many students have gained places at some of the most prestigious universities across the country.

“They have demonstrated commitment and resilience throughout their studies as they have continued to experience disruption to their education.”

He added: “We wish all our students the best with the next stages of their lives."
