Army trucks and planes descended on West End Park as hundreds of people attended the second March Armed Forces Fair.

Organised by Lieutenant Colonel Nigel ‘Spence’ Spencer MBE, he said the 2022 MAFF was meant to be a one-off event, but the team of serving, veteran and local volunteers all wanted to organise and deliver the event again.

He thanked several volunteers for “making it happen”, including his deputy, Mark Wilding, and the lead steward, warrant officer class 1, Nobby Hall RE.
