Arsonists set fire to building materials at a site in March yesterday afternoon (Tuesday, September 12).
A crew from the town’s fire station was called at 3:21pm to a fire in the open on Grounds Avenue.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters arrived to find building materials on fire.
“Using hose reels, the crew extinguished the fire before returning to their station by 4.30pm.
“The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate. Anyone with information should contact police by visiting www.cambs.police.uk to submit an online report or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
