A Fenland swimming club is fundraising to buy new equipment for swimmers and pay for support training for the coaching team.
Chatteris Kingfishers Swimming Club launched the JustGiving page with a target of £500, however they have already exceeded that to raise £645.
Stephanie Fowler, who launched the crowdfunding page, said: "Chatteris Kingfishers were formed in 1964, following the conversion of the Empress Cinema in Chatteris into the town's first indoor swimming pool.
"The Kingfishers still teach and coach swimmers there to this day. We are a non-profit organisation run by volunteers.
"The club has adapted through the years, in line with the way swimming was run by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA).
"We follow the National Plan for Teaching Swimming to ensure children are taught the vital skills they will require to a high standard, and with natural progression.
"As a club, we actively encourage our swimmers to compete in competitions, reinforcing team spirit, values and competitiveness.
"We compete in both local and national leagues, as well as club championships and open meets.
"All money raised for the club will go towards the purchase of much needed swimming equipment to support the swimmers development and support out coaching team develop enhanced skills through new training courses."
