An inquest has opened today (Thursday, November 23) into the death of a woman whose body was found at an address on October 30.
46-year-old Sian Hammond’s body was found at a house in Primes Corner, Histon.
A coroner’s inquest which was opened in Peterborough today was adjourned to a date to be fixed, to allow for criminal proceedings.
The coroner noted the provisional cause of death as compression of the neck, pending histology and toxicology.
Robert Hammond, 47, of Primes Corner, Histon, was arrested on November 10 and has since been charged with her death.
He will next appear at Cambridge Crown Court on December 11.
