There are currently several flood warnings in Cambridgeshire in the aftermath of Storm Henk yesterday (Tuesday, January 2). 

Red flood warnings are in place for Alconbury Brook at Hamerton, Alconbury Weston, Alconbury, Little Stukeley and Brampton. 

The Environment Agency says the flood warning area covers Hamerton Road, Willow Farm Close, Spires End, High Street and North Road in Alconbury Weston, Great North Road, Mill Road, Brookside, Sharps Lane, High Street and Rusts Lane in Alconbury, Low Road in Little Stukeley, Thrapston Road in Brampton.

Red flood warnings are also still in place for the B1040 Thorney to Whittlesey Road south of the River Nene, North Bank Road alongside the River Nene East of Peterborough and west of Dog-in-a-Doublet, and the River Great Ouse at Eaton Socon, Eynesbury, Eaton Ford and St Neots. 

The Environment Agency says these flood warnings will be updated by 4pm today, or before if the situation changes. 

Meanwhile less urgent flood alerts continue to be issued across Cambridgeshire.

Areas on an amber flood warning include:  

  • Alconbury Brook 
  • B1041 between Little Paxton and St Neots  
  • Bourn Brook 
  • Bury Brook 
  • Ellington Brook 
  • Hundred Foot Washes 
  • Lower River Cam 
  • River Great Ouse 

Two flood warnings have been removed in the county in the last 24 hours including Bin Brook and Cottenham Lode.
