Vandals smashed a wooden gate before driving a quad bike over the cricket pitch and outfield at Whittlesey Cricket Club.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the damage was caused at Manor Playing Field, Aliwal Road, at about 8pm on Monday February 19.
PC Gary Stabler said: “This was a shocking act of vandalism to a community facility and I am appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area on Monday night.
“Any CCTV or doorbell footage from the Aliwal Road and Station Road area would also be helpful from that time period.”
