The entire county of Cambridgeshire has been issued a yellow weather warning for rain by the Met Office today (February 22).
The county is set to be hit with heavy rain from around 6am until 4pm.
A brief respite from the rain is due at 10am, but downpours will continue throughout the day.
Huntingdonshire, Ely, March, Wisbech and Peterborough are all included in the weather warning.
The yellow warning covers Cambridgeshire's neighbouring counties too, including Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire.
Flood warnings are in place for Huntingdonshire and Peterborough for the River Nene and River Ouse.
Cambridgeshire has narrowly missed out on a second yellow weather warning for wind as well.
Areas including Eye and Ipswich face both rain and wind warnings for February 22.
On the brighter side, the rain warning is only in place for February 22.
There is no rain scheduled for Friday, February 23.
The sun may even show its face over the weekend across Cambridgeshire on Saturday, February 24, with the long-range forecast indicating that it may come out from behind the clouds.
