Three people including a teenage boy were arrested following an operation in relation to drug dealing in Chatteris.

Police visited six addresses in the town yesterday (Monday May 13) and arrested a 23-year-old, a 19-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy. 

Both the teenagers have been released on bail to return to Thorpe Wood Police Station on August 12, while the 23-year-old – Ki Seward, of London Road, Chatteris – was charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

He appeared at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today where he has been remanded in custody to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on June 25.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: "We had a busy day in Chatteris on Monday.

"It was an early start for some of our teams, including neighbourhoods, firearms and our dog unit (with PDs Luna and Walton) to carry out an operation tackling drug dealing in the area.

"Six warrants resulted in three arrests and £70,000 in cash and firearms ammunition being seized. 

"Numerous electronic devices and other potential evidence relating to drug dealing was also seized.

"You told us you wanted us to tackle drug dealing in Chatteris, so that’s what we’re doing.
