The Askham Christmas Fayre brought the community together for a festive celebration.
The annual event was hosted on November 23 by the Askham Village Community.
The fayre was a hub of activity, with families, residents, and visitors all attending to support businesses and craftspeople.
The event featured a Santa's Grotto, real reindeer, and stalls that sold handcrafted gifts, decorations, and treats.
Many stallholders reported selling out of their stock.
"It’s not just about the festive atmosphere — it’s about bringing people together, supporting local businesses, and creating opportunities for everyone to enjoy something magical.
"Seeing so many smiling faces, from children meeting the reindeer to families enjoying local crafts, and the buzz around the stalls was truly magical."
The event's success was attributed to the support of partners, including primary schools Maple Grove, Cavalry, Burrowmoor, Thomas Eaton, and Lionel Walden, who helped spread the word about the fayre.
The dedication of the Askham team, particularly the activities team, was also recognised for their hard work in bringing the event to life.
This year marked the debut of real reindeer at Askham, a feature that was well-received by attendees.
Askham Village Community is asking for donations to support its future events to help expand the fayres offerings.
It is hoping to bring back the reindeer next year as well.
Mr Leveille added: "We are incredibly proud of what the fayre represents — not just a day of fun but a meaningful way to support local businesses and bring joy to our community.
