Eighteen month old Lurcher Douglas was dumped at Ravenswood Pet Rescue, Walsoken, yesterday in excruciating pain.

The vet has splintered his leg and given him pain relief but between £500-£600 is needed so he can have his leg pinned.

Fenland District Council have offered to pay £250 towards his operation so the rescue needs to find at least £250 more to go ahead with it.

Caroline Trigg, of Ravenswood Pet Rescue, said: “Douglas is lovely and despite the terrible pain he must have been in is such a happy, kind and friendly boy.”
